We were thrilled to have a strong contingent from Kids for aBetter Future at the 2015 Readathon, and we’re excited to find ways to work together. KBF was founded nine years ago by a group of 3rd graders led by Akash Mehta and Natassia Walley and a number of their friends. All the original members of KBF are now in their senior year and will soon be off to college. But they wanted KBF to continue, and so they decided to bequeath their organization to current 3rd graders including Akash's younger brother Satya. Akash and Natassia have been mentoring the younger KBF members all year. The younger members decided to support The Malala Fund this year with activities including participation in the Girls Read for Girls Readathon, a screening of He Named me Malala (with popcorn of course!), and more.
We couldn't have done it without you!
